After graduating from ESRA, Laurent Duret began his professional career as a documentary director and production manager for Rhéa Films, Ex Nihilo, Les Films d’Ici, Les Films à Lou, Image & Cie, Idéale Audience and Cargo Films among others. From 2007 to 2014 he produced or co-produced for Les Films d’Ici and then Les Films d’Ici | 2, which he co-founded, numerous documentaries and transmedia projects including 14: Weapons and Words and 1914: Breaking News! In 2015 he decided to embark on some different adventures by setting up Bachibouzouk to work separately and occasionally with Les Films d’Ici.
