The evolution of cinema, documentary and the web: One Millionth Tower
Power to the Pixel is delighted to be co-hosting a screening of One Millionth Tower, National Film Board of Canada’s latest strand of their multi- award-winning documentary project HIGHRISE with Mozilla, at 14.30 on Monday 7 November in London.
The documentary teams a group of highrise residents in Toronto with photographers and architects to re-imagine their surroundings and transform their dilapidated highrise neighbourhood into a vibrant, resident-led community.
Following the screening, Emmy award-winning documentarian, Katerina Cizek will share insights into the creative and technological challenges and unique community collaborations in which this extraordinary work has been created. She will be joined by the pioneer of open-source cinema, Brett Gaylor of Mozilla Foundation’s Popcorn Project for a Q & A moderated by Liz Rosenthal.
