ROSA BOSCH

Born in Spain, Rosa has been working in the film industry for 25 years, based and living in London. After some years as Deputy Director of The London Film Festival/ National Film Theatre she was a co-founder of Mexican production and sales company Tequila Gang during which time she worked with notable filmmakers including Pedro Almodovar, Wim Wenders, Guillermo Del Toro and Terry Gilliam. Her production credits include The Devil’s Backbone (El Espinazo del Diablo), Buena Vista Social Club and Lost in La Mancha. In 2003 she established and was Co-managing Director of HBO Films based in London, where she handled the launch and distribution of titles including Elephant (Gus Van Sant), which won the Palme D’or and Best Director at Cannes 2003.

She currently heads B&W Films, a London- based production and management company with partnerships in Mexico and Cuba. Among the artists she manages and produces are BAFTA award winning artist/ filmmaker Tal Rosner, Olivier Award winning director/ choreographer Javier De Frutos, filmmaker Sophie Fiennes and the operatic baritone William Shimell who made his acting debut in Abbas Kiarostami’s recent Copie Conforme.

Rosa is currently a member of the European Film Academy and the Film Committee of BAFTA. Besides English and Spanish, she is also fluent in French and Italian.
