Peter De Maegd is an independent film producer who’s turning his focus on the new opportunities of converging media. In practice, this means creating valuable IP and a conversation with the audience. Peter produced the Emmy-nominated participative TV series The Spiral together with Caviar Films. The series was simultaneously broadcast in eight European countries in September 2013.
His own production company, Potemkino, is now shooting the horror movie Cub which is partly financed through the crowd funding campaign Buy a trap, kill a Cub. Potemkino is renowned for its innovative projects such as Where is Gary?, Miss Homeless, MONSTER and Jean Wordt Vlaming. He often gives lectures at workshops, conferences and universities on storytelling for converged media.
